THE ACNE SELO JACKET
It seems as if almost every men's clothing brand has caught on and been producing their own versions of the classic bomber jacket. If you're looking for one of the more fitted and slimmer fitting ones, my personal favorite is the "Selo" jacket by ACNE Studios.
The SELO from ACNE will run you about $500-$600. If you're looking for a cheaper fix some of the better Army surplus stores will carry well fitting bombers in almost every color. In Chicago, out in Wicker Park I came across a few surplus stores that carried the jacket both in the older cropped cut and also a version with a more contemporary long cut. There's also a good surplus store down on Sunset Junction in Los Angeles that carries both versions. Those will run you around $125.
Also, I really dig what creative vision of Virgil Abloh. His clothing line is doing some interesting things and I think he taken Kanye's artistic vision to the next level. I don't want to take anything away from them but in my opinion the bomber created for the Yeezus tour is the wrong direction to go when choosing yours. It's a cool looking jacket but is a very temporary look. It's always best to stay away from printed emblems and other prints, especially for outerwear. The original bomber jacket has been cool since before my father was in his 20s. There's no reason to date your piece with print that is only in vogue for a limited time.
